So I've a week off...it's so nice to not worry about anything.  And people are finally returning from summer, so it's good to hang out and all that.  Went downtown since I'm finally legal.  It was surprisingly fun.  I think for bars and clubs one just needs the right group of people, because I can definately see it being an unenjoyable thing as well.

My parents are moving back to California, I don't know if I've said that already on here.  Packers are there now, Apparently they're heading stateside at the end of the month.  So if anyone needs to crash in the SF Bay area, let me know.

I'm apparently older.  Oh boy.  Had a great time last night, had friends over and it was lots of fun.  For some reason I seem to dwell on the things I didn't have and all that though.  I wonder why that is.

Anyway, soccer match this evening.  We better win.  I'll be annoyed if we don't.

New stereo!  I'm happy, albeit poor.  Sounds soooooo good.  NAD amp, NHT speakers.  I've not been able to really hear the difference between mp3 and a CD before (unless it was really low bitrate/a crappy rip), but I definately can on this.  Now I need to get a phonograph...like that's really going to happen soon...

Final tomorrow.  So I'm writing here and listening to music.  Suburban Legends are great, by the way.  They're currently touring, so I'd suggest looking them up.  Speaking of, I need to spend more money on their new CD.

Joe Strummer is also good.

And study time.

So I'm in SB for summer, by the way...if you're in southern California and want to drop by, let me know.  Anyway, moved into a house a little way from campus, still close enough for it to be a short bike ride, but it's the far end of IV, so...yeah.  Will be here for the next year.  I've got my own room, it's rather nice and big, though it's definately costing a pretty penny.

Got 3 roommates for summer, 2 for the school year.  2 engineering grad students from India are subletting from one of the roommates for summer, the other roommate is an EE student, also a fourth year, we get on well.  So that's the 4 of us in the house for summer.  It's been good thus far, been cooking a fair bit, very enjoyable indeed...baked bread yesterday, that was good.  Now I know what I can do to it to make it better.  It seems I'm not so afraid of using the oven after all (I didn't like it because I don't know how long to cook things, so I feel I can't experiment as well in it as on stovetop...)

Hmm...lyrics time.  Listening to the Scrubs soundtrack and this is just a really...good song at the moment.  It's also in Shrek, but yeah.  Anyway, we'll see how long it takes me to update now...

"I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Your faith was strong, but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Baby I've been here before, I know this room
I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the Marble Arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah

There was a time you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show it to me, do you?
I remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Maybe there's a God above, all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who out drew you
And it's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah"

So I'm going to Death Valley on wednesday, coming back sunday.  Should be fun.

Confused about a great deal with my life, but that's nothing new.  I like my geography class.  It's pretty interesting.  I wish I had taken it earlier.  Because then I might have considered geography as a major, but it's a little late now.

Hmm.  Don't really know what to say.  Alice had a birthday party last friday, was enjoyable.  She did it as a dress up affair, so I pulled out my tux and was the best dressed there.  Walking back to my room, the cops stopped me to say I looked sharp.  Never been told I look good by a policeman before.  I was like...uh...thanks.

What else?  Not much.  Life goes on.  And apparently people in California read this thing.  Regularly.  Hi random people.  I should probably consider putting some of this in protected or whatever mode you do to keep everyone from reading.  Though I won't.  Too much effort and not much point.
